South London, United Kingdom
Alex is a full-time transgender voice actor and founder of Sound & Script Studio, working from a home studio in South London, with a naturally gentle, reassuringly neutral British voice and a genuine love of storytelling that goes right back to childhood.
Before full-time VO, Alex spent years as a frontline paramedic, and that background still shapes the work today: calm authority under pressure, real emotional honesty, and an instinct for pacing that comes from talking people through their worst days. It's a strange thing to bring to a script, but it's proven to be a real edge for medical, e-learning and documentary work in particular: the kind of narration that needs to feel trustworthy rather than performed.
Outside the booth, Alex is still a working paramedic at events, a drummer in a working band, a novelist edging toward self-publishing a first book, and a Scout leader of over a decade, so character work, rhythm, and holding a room's attention are second nature, not just the typical VO buzzwords! He's been a part of Bromley Players for four years, singing his heart out on stage with the AmDram Musical Theatre bunch, or humming softly behind the lighting desk at the back of the theatre. He also has a soft spot for building things: he's currently constructing a fantasy language for a video game project!
Alex delivers broadcast-quality audio, fast turnarounds, and is comfortable directing remotely. When not behind the mic, you'll usually find Alex lost in a game, mid-drum-fill, or wrangling a troop of 10-14 year olds on a troop night.
If the story matters, so does the voice.
